Texas Association of Family Defense Attorneys 

TAFDA believes in the fundamental right of family integrity.  When the State unnecessarily interferes with this right, children are the ones who suffer the most.  Research has shown that children who are removed from their homes suffer a great amount of trauma that can present as depression, PTSD, or behavior disorders. 

 

TAFDA was formed in 2020 by a group of attorneys, with over 100 years of collective experience, with a common goal of educating attorneys who represent both parents and children to zealously defend their clients, and of participating in the Legislative process to effect changes in the law that are beneficial to families.
